This morning I woke up opened preasents and so on but tonight I found out Father Christmas isn’t real. A few weeks ago I was looking for a preasent that I had bought Mum. I looked in a Tesco bag and I found a crystal garden. When I opened my stocking preasents I found the crystal garden. So this evening I asked Dad weather he put the preasents in the stocking. He said: We put it in in the morning so we knew what wrapping paper Santa has done. A likely story, but what I’m going to ask in the morning is: Did Father Christmas give you a letter about anything. That might be true. But when I found out I was heartbroken. Now I knew Santa may not be real!
I really really hope he is real. I have thought he is real all my life and do not particualy want to find out now.
We’re moving house in March, so I’m having to clear out my room before I go back to uni. Found this gem in the back of one of my drawers, I didn’t correct any of the spelling, or change any punctuation so you can read this like I did- a glimpse into the mind of me as a just-turned-10 year old, where these were the only worries I had. Those were the days… :)

The Maccabees have done a cover of the ‘Walking in the Air’.
Someone at the student radio is once again trying to create a rebellion against an X Factor track for the once coveted Christmas number one, but with what he believes is a deserving Christmasy tune. Through the glorious means of the internet he is spreading this track, and this is me giving it a leg up, albeit a very, very small one.
